Morley Village(s)
|
About our Two Villages in One ParishMorley consists of two villages rolled into one Parish, with two medieval Churches, neither of which is in either Village !! The two Churches are Morley St Peter & Morley St Botolph.
The village is close to the A11 and in easy reach of both Norwich to the east and Cambridge in the west. Morley is mid-way between Attleborough (in Breckland District) and Wymondham (in South Norfolk District). Wymondham College, which is one of only three state run day & boarding schools in England, is just on our doorstep. It has around 1000 pupils from Primary age up to 6th Form College age. It has an “Outstanding” status from Ofsted and is one of the best performing schools in the country. The village boasts an excellent local amenity, “Morley Village & Sports Hall” which is a Charity run by an enthusiastic group of Trustees (most of whom live in the villages). The hall is next to the Derrick Daniels Football Field which is home to “Morley Youth Football Club”. In the village itself is The Turner Field, which is home to the village playground for younger children with a benched seating area. |
